ROLE DESCRIPTION
Global Recruiting Operations EMEA is looking for a Background Verification Consultant to support and continuously improve the pre-employment screening process across the EMEA this role you will partner with candidates hiring managers HR Legal and external vendors to ensure timely and compliant completion of background verification activities.

Beyond operational case management you will contribute to process excellence initiatives participate in projects support digital and AI-enabled ways of working and act as a trusted advisor for background verification-related inquiries and complex cases. You will work in a highly collaborative global environment and have the opportunity to drive meaningful improvements that enhance both stakeholder experience and operational effectiveness.

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS

  • Initiate and manage pre-employment background verification checks in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Review assess and evaluate background verification results ensuring accuracy consistency and compliance.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies partnering with candidates hiring managers HR Legal and external vendors as required.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal stakeholders and external service providers.
  • Take ownership of designated process topics
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying inefficiencies proposing solutions and supporting implementation of process enhancements.
  • Participate in local and global projects related to recruiting operations background verification compliance process optimization and technology implementation.
  • Leverage AI-enabled tools and digital technologies responsibly to improve productivity quality data analysis stakeholder support and operational efficiency.
  • Navigate and utilize various systems and platforms including SAP applications vendor portals reporting tools and AI-enabled solutions.

WORK EXPERIENCE

  • Experience knowledge or strong interest in Background Verification Recruiting Operations Human Resources Compliance Risk Management or related fields.
  • Experience working within a customer-focused service delivery shared services or operational environment.
  • Experience managing multiple priorities while maintaining high levels of accuracy and quality.
  • Exposure to process improvement project participation automation digital transformation or change initiatives is considered a plus.
  • Experience working with AI-enabled tools reporting solutions or workflow technologies is advantageous.

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

  • Upper-intermediate written and spoken English language skills.
  • Ability to handle highly confidential and sensitive information with professionalism and discretion.
  • Strong attention to detail analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills including the ability to communicate effectively with candidates employees managers and senior stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently take ownership and manage priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Continuous improvement mindset with the ability to identify opportunities drive process enhancements and support change initiatives.
  • Digital literacy including the ability to effectively leverage new technologies automation solutions and AI-enabled tools.
  • Collaborative team player who actively contributes ideas knowledge sharing and operational excellence within a global environment.
