The Role
We are hiring a QA Automation Engineer with a mobile automation focus to build and maintain automated test solutions across mobile and web applications for a major banking transformation programme in Nicosia. Appium is at the heart of this role: you will design mobile test automation that keeps quality high as release velocity climbs working alongside Playwright based web automation within CI/CD pipelines.
What You Will Do
- Design develop and maintain automated test solutions for mobile and web applications
- Build mobile test automation with Appium and web test automation with Playwright
- Contribute to the development and enhancement of test automation frameworks
- Integrate and maintain automated tests within CI/CD pipelines
- Collaborate closely with developers and QA colleagues to ensure robust test coverage
- Analyse test execution results identify defects and support resolution
- Champion best practices in test automation and quality assurance
What You Will Bring
- Proven experience in QA automation and test design
- Strong hands-on experience with Appium for mobile automation
- Strong hands-on experience with Playwright for web automation
- Experience building or maintaining test automation frameworks
- Good understanding of software testing principles and Agile methodologies
Nice to Have
- Solid knowledge of Python
- Familiarity with PyTest
- Experience with Azure and Azure Pipelines
- Experience testing across both web and mobile platforms
- Exposure to test architecture or framework design decisions
- Familiarity with Git or other version control systems
The Details
- Location: Nicosia Cyprus. Fully onsite no remote or hybrid option
- Hours: 8 hour working day Monday to Friday
- Permanent full time
