The Role

We are hiring a QA Automation Engineer with a mobile automation focus to build and maintain automated test solutions across mobile and web applications for a major banking transformation programme in Nicosia. Appium is at the heart of this role: you will design mobile test automation that keeps quality high as release velocity climbs working alongside Playwright based web automation within CI/CD pipelines.

What You Will Do

• Design develop and maintain automated test solutions for mobile and web applications
• Build mobile test automation with Appium and web test automation with Playwright
• Contribute to the development and enhancement of test automation frameworks
• Integrate and maintain automated tests within CI/CD pipelines
• Collaborate closely with developers and QA colleagues to ensure robust test coverage
• Analyse test execution results identify defects and support resolution
• Champion best practices in test automation and quality assurance

What You Will Bring

• Proven experience in QA automation and test design
• Strong hands-on experience with Appium for mobile automation
• Strong hands-on experience with Playwright for web automation
• Experience building or maintaining test automation frameworks
• Good understanding of software testing principles and Agile methodologies

Nice to Have

• Solid knowledge of Python
• Familiarity with PyTest
• Experience with Azure and Azure Pipelines
• Experience testing across both web and mobile platforms
• Exposure to test architecture or framework design decisions
• Familiarity with Git or other version control systems

The Details

• Location: Nicosia Cyprus. Fully onsite no remote or hybrid option
• Hours: 8 hour working day Monday to Friday
• Permanent full time
