Head of Legal

HRLadderBox is seeking an experienced Head of Legal to lead the legal function of an international iGaming business based in Limassol. The successful candidate will act as a key legal adviser to senior management providing commercially focused advice across regulatory corporate commercial and operational matters. The role requires proven experience in the iGaming sector excellent commercial judgement and the ability to manage legal risk across multiple jurisdictions.

• Lead and manage the companys legal function and overall legal strategy.
• Advise the CEO senior management and relevant stakeholders on legal and regulatory matters.
• Draft review and negotiate commercial agreements including supplier technology marketing affiliate payment-processing and partnership agreements.
• Provide legal support in relation to gaming licenses and regulatory requirements across multiple jurisdictions.
• Work closely with Compliance Finance Product and Operations teams.
• Provide day-to-day guidance coaching and mentoring to team members.
• Advise on corporate governance company law and group structure matters.
• Manage disputes claims and potential litigation together with external counsel where required.
• Support corporate transactions investments restructurings and other strategic projects.
• Develop and maintain internal legal policies contract templates and approval processes.
• Manage relationships with external legal advisers and regulatory specialists.
• Identify legal and regulatory risks and provide practical commercially appropriate solutions.
• Support senior management with negotiations and strategic business decisions.

• Qualified lawyer with approximately 7 years of relevant legal experience ideally including substantial in-house experience.
• Previous experience within iGaming / gambling industry is mandatory.
• Strong experience in commercial contracts and regulatory matters.
• Familiarity with international gaming regulatory frameworks and licensing requirements.
• Strong understanding of corporate and commercial law.
• Excellent negotiation drafting and stakeholder-management skills.
• Commercial mindset with the ability to balance legal risk with business objectives.
• Excellent written and spoken English.

Experience with one or more of the following would be highly advantageous:

• MGA UKGC or other European/international gaming licenses.
• B2B and B2C iGaming operations.
• Intellectual property and data-protection matters.
