[VCK] QA Automation Engineer

About the Role

Our client is a fast-growing fintech platform. You will join as the third member of a two-person QA team contributing to the full software development life cycle. The role requires working in the CT (Central Time) time zone.

Main Responsibilities

• Design develop and execute test plans test cases and test scripts for web applications.
• Identify document and track bugs ensuring they are resolved effectively.
• Perform manual and automated testing to ensure optimal performance and user experience.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and implement testing strategies.
• Write and maintain end-to-end automated tests using Playwright or similar frameworks.
• Use AI tools responsibly as an assistant not a replacement for human-authored and human-understood code.
• Continuously improve QA processes frameworks and best practices.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging QA tools and industry trends.

Qualifications :

Requirements:

• 90% English written and oral (B2 level minimum) strong communication is essential.
• 2 years of QA experience including hands-on work with E2E automation frameworks (Playwright preferred; Cypress Maestro Appium or Selenium also considered).
• Ability to write and maintain automated tests with clean readable structure.
• Some coding experience in JavaScript Ruby Python or similar comfortable writing functions and structuring projects.
• Experience working with GitHub or similar version control tools.
• Strong communication skills: ability to write clear bug reports reproduction steps test cases and root cause analysis.
• Experience working on projects throughout the full software development life cycle.
• Experience using JIRA or other bug tracking / project management tools.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with Postman or API testing.
• Familiarity with fintech or regulated software environments.
• Experience working in small agile QA teams.

Additional Information :
