Job Summary
This is a remote position.
We are looking for a Senior AI/ML Engineer who understands that building AI solutions is not only about models and automation its about creating systems that are reliable explainable scalable and valuable for real business environments.
This role will lead the design and implementation of advanced AI capabilities across multiple digital products and enterprise initiatives with a strong focus on Document Intelligence Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) LLM orchestration and AI workflows operating in regulated or high-accountability environments.
You will collaborate closely with technical leaders engineers and business stakeholders to create AI-powered solutions that balance innovation with accuracy governance and usability.

What Youll Be Doing
- Design and build reusable AI capabilities that support multiple business initiatives and products.
- Develop intelligent document processing solutions for extraction classification summarization normalization and analysis.
- Create and optimize custom Document Intelligence models for client-specific document types and workflows.
- Build scalable RAG architectures leveraging enterprise knowledge bases and semantic search capabilities.
- Improve retrieval quality response accuracy and confidence scoring across AI-assisted workflows.
- Design and implement reasoning workflows using modern LLM ecosystems and Azure OpenAI services.
- Build multi-step AI workflows and agentic experiences that combine retrieval reasoning tool usage and structured output generation.
- Develop prompt engineering standards guardrails evaluation frameworks and AI governance practices.
- Create confidence-aware workflows that incorporate human review and validation when required.
- Contribute to AI architecture decisions experimentation and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Build AI systems ready for production environments emphasizing scalability observability auditability and cost optimization.
- Implement monitoring and evaluation frameworks to measure model performance drift and operational reliability.
- Support AI deployment and operational decisions across cloud infrastructure and AI platforms.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure AI solutions align with technical and business objectives.
- Mentor engineers and contribute to best practices around AI engineering RAG design and prompt development.

- 5 years of software engineering experience including at least 3 years working with production AI/ML systems.
- Strong hands-on experience with Azure AI services including:
- Azure OpenAI
- Azure AI Search
- Azure AI Foundry
- Document Intelligence solutions
- Azure OpenAI
- Deep understanding of:
- Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG)
- Semantic search
- Prompt engineering
- Agent orchestration
- Evaluation and guardrail frameworks
- Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG)
- Strong Python development skills and experience with modern AI frameworks such as:
- LangChain
- LangGraph
- Semantic Kernel
- Similar LLM orchestration frameworks
- LangChain
- Experience designing AI workflows that require governance traceability and human oversight.
- Familiarity with vector databases and modern data architectures.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Professional English proficiency (written and spoken).
Required Skills:
What you bring We are looking for someone who has already done this before. Bachelors degree in Business Administration Finance Economics Computer Science Industrial Engineering or related field. 8 years of experience in digital product design with substantial focus on consumer banking and B2B financial products. Ability to understand complex business concepts workflows and effectively define business processes. Ability to understand complex technical concepts - including data models data flows API integrations and basic solution architecture. Ability to produce high quality requirements documentation covering business / technical / functional / non-functional. Ability to effectively triage system defects leveraging strong understanding of the business systems and data involved. Ability to operate in a structured and organized manner. Hand-on experience with full consumer lending platforms in a production environment (not advisory only). Strong understanding of: o Loan lifecycle (origination servicing collections).. o Credit risk & underwriting logic. o Lending economics (pricing risk profitability) Proven experience working directly with engineering teams. Proven track record of stakeholder management across risk compliance IT and operations in a regulated environment. Fluent English C1 you will operate in a US client environment. Valid US visa. Availability to work US Central time hours.
