Position Summary
On behalf of a leading international energy services company operating in the Republic of the Congo we are seeking a qualified Congolese national to join offshore operations as a this role you will be responsible for inspecting maintaining troubleshooting and repairing rotating equipment and mechanical systems aboard offshore platforms to ensure safe and uninterrupted production operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute preventive routine and corrective maintenance on mechanical assets including pumps gas compressors diesel generators valves and hydraulic/pneumatic systems.
  • Diagnose mechanical malfunctions disassemble equipment replace worn or defective parts and reassemble systems according to manufacturer specs.
  • Maintain accurate records of all maintenance work inspection logs and spare parts inventory using standard work-order systems.
  • Adhere strictly to safety regulations permit-to-work (PTW) systems standard operating procedures and risk assessments.
  • Perform mechanical isolations and participate in platform pre-commissioning testing and commissioning activities.
  • Assist in emergency response protocols and attend daily safety briefings onboard.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Must have valid work authorization for the Republic of the Congo
  • Education: Technical diploma vocational certificate or trade apprenticeship in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical discipline.
  • Experience: Minimum 35 years of mechanical maintenance experience in oil and gas operations (offshore environment preferred).
  • Certifications: Valid BOSIET / FOET (Basic Offshore Safety Induction and Emergency Training) Offshore Medical clearance and relevant mechanical trade tickets.
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of diesel engines rotating equipment alignment techniques and hydraulic control systems.
  • Skills: Solid diagnostic skills ability to read technical drawings and P&IDs and fluent communication in French (English language skills are an advantage).
