BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DIVISION
The Strategic Relationships and Reporting Unit supports the World Food Programmes mission by fostering quality partnerships mobilizing resources and ensuring timely and impactful communication with partners donors and other key stakeholders. The unit plays a critical role in advancing WFPs strategic objectives through the development of proposals reporting on programmatic achievements and enhancing collaboration with partners at national regional and global levels.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    1. Partnership Support:
    Contribute to developing and strengthening partnerships by profiling key stakeholders and supporting outreach activities.
    Assist in preparing high-quality proposals and reports aligned with WFPs strategic objectives and partner requirements.
    Ensure compliance with partner agreements and contribute to partner visibility efforts.
    2. Data and Analysis:
    Conduct research and compile data to support decision-making including programmatic assessments and stakeholder analysis.
    Use internal tools and platforms to analyze and present data that informs strategies for resource mobilization and partnership growth.
    3. Document Review and Translation:
    Translate documents between English and Spanish to facilitate communication with stakeholders and partners.
    Review and edit reports proposals and other documents to ensure accuracy consistency and alignment with WFP standards.
    4. Reporting and Coordination:
    Draft briefs and meeting notes to inform internal and external stakeholders about strategic issues and progress.
    Support the preparation of strategic agreements joint strategies and MoUs in alignment with WFPs objectives.
    5. Administrative and Logistical Support:
    Participate in meetings with partners prepare summaries and follow up on action points.
    Provide administrative support for events workshops and coordination activities within the unit.

    STANDARD MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
    Education: Be a Masters student or a graduate in International Relations Development Studies Communications or a related field.
    Languages: Fluency in English and Spanish (oral and written) is mandatory.
    Skills:
    o Excellent analytical and writing skills.
    o Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.
    o Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word Excel PowerPoint).
    Experience:
    o Prior experience in proposal writing partnerships or project management is desirable.
    o Familiarity with international development the UN system or humanitarian operations is a plus.
    TRAINING COMPONENTS
    Throughout their assignment the WFP Fellow have access to an industry leading learning platform weLearn. Depending on opportunities and availability of funds he/she may participate in WFP workshops or seminars as appropriate.
    LEARNING ELEMENTS
    At the end of the assignment the Fellow should:
    Understand the key processes involved in resource mobilization and strategic partnerships within WFP.
    Develop skills in drafting proposals reports and strategic documents tailored to different stakeholders.
    Gain experience in translating complex programmatic information into actionable insights for partners.
    Enhance their ability to navigate internal systems and tools for data analysis and reporting.
    Build competencies in coordinating with diverse teams and stakeholders in an international humanitarian context.
    TYPE OF ASSIGNMENT
    This opportunity is particularly well-suited for students or recent graduates seeking practical experience in an international organization. It offers valuable exposure to WFPs operations and the chance to contribute meaningfully to its mission.
    The selected candidate will receive IT equipment and training material; however financial compensation and medical coverage are not provided by WFP. Applicants may seek alternative funding opportunities such as university grants or external scholarships to support their assignment.
