About the Role
We are a high-growth DTC home décor and lifestyle brand known for our bold layered color-forward aesthetic. We are bringing paid media in-house and hiring a Paid Media Manager to take over day-to-day management of our Meta and Google advertising accounts replacing our current agency relationship.
This is a hands-on execution role. Our CEO sets the overall paid media strategybudget allocation growth targets and channel prioritiesand you will own bringing that strategy to life: building and launching campaigns managing budgets and bids running structured creative tests and reporting on performance daily and weekly.
We are not looking for someone who just takes direction and executes without question. You should have enough hands-on experience running Meta and Google accounts to have real opinionsif you see a better way to structure a campaign test an audience or reallocate budget we want to hear it. You will be expected to bring data and a strong point of view to the table not just wait to be told what to do.
This role is open to top offshore talent in Latin America (LATAM) and South Africa. To monitor and react to live campaigns alongside our CEO and creative team in real time this position requires working fixed US business hours (9:00 AM 6:00 PM Eastern Time) regardless of your home location.
How We Work
We are an AI-curious company. We expect this role to leverage AI tools daily for reporting summarization ad copy variants and performance analysis. Judgment on what to test what to scale and what to kill still comes from youAI speeds up the analysis but it doesnt replace the read.
Core Responsibilities
I. Day-to-Day Campaign Management (40% of time)
- Account Ownership: Own daily management of all Meta and Google Ads accounts: campaign builds budget pacing bid strategy and account structure.
- Active Performance Optimization: Monitor performance daily and react quickly to underperformance budget pacing issues or platform disapprovals. This replaces an agency relationship that required constant oversight so accuracy and responsiveness are the baseline not a bonus.
- Account Hygiene: Maintain pixel and Conversions API health UTM tracking naming conventions and catalog feed accuracy for dynamic/product ads.
- Strategic Execution: Execute the strategy and budget direction set by the CEO translating high-level priorities into campaign-level decisions.
II. Testing & Optimization (25% of time)
- Structured Experimentation: Design and run structured creative and audience tests with clear hypotheses not just ad-hoc experiments.
- Creative Collaboration: Partner directly with the Senior Creative Producer on creative refreshes briefing new concepts based on whats fatiguing and whats working.
- Proactive Point of View: Flag underperforming spend propose new audience or bidding approaches and challenge existing account structure when you see a better pathbacked by data.
- Platform Mastery: Stay current on platform changes (Meta and Google Ads updates new ad formats targeting shifts) and proactively recommend when to adopt them.
III. Reporting & Analysis (20% of time)
- Weekly Performance Reads: Own a weekly performance report covering spend ROAS CAC and channel-level trends with a clear read on whats driving the numbers.
- Early Risk Detection: Flag anomalies or risks earlya stalled campaign a spike in CAC a tracking issuerather than letting them surface in a monthly review.
- Contextual Analysis: Tie paid performance back to broader business context: inventory availability promotional calendar and site conversion issues that affect what the numbers mean.
IV. Cross-Functional Collaboration (15% of time)
- Executive Alignment: Work directly with the CEO on strategy and budget prioritiesthis is a close high-communication working relationship not a hands-off one.
- Marketing Ops Coordination: Coordinate with the Marketing Ops Lead on calendar offers and audience alignment across paid email and site.
- Creative Handoffs: Partner with the Senior Creative Producer on the organic-to-paid creative handoff and ongoing asset needs.
First 30 Days Objectives
You will focus on a full audit of the existing Meta and Google accounts (structure tracking historical performance) documenting what you find and taking over day-to-day management with minimal disruption to live campaigns.
Goal: Full ownership of daily account management by day 30 with your first independent optimization recommendations delivered to the CEO.

Primary KPIs
- Efficiency: ROAS and CAC trending better than historical agency-managed benchmarks.
- Account Hygiene: Zero tracking gaps feed errors or avoidable disapprovals.
- Responsiveness: Fast proactive reaction to pacing issues underperformance or platform changesno surprises in the monthly review.
- Testing Velocity: Consistent structured creative and audience tests running weekly with clear read-outs.
- Strategic Contribution: Quality and frequency of data-backed recommendations brought to the CEO not just requested reports.
90-Day Benchmarks
- Account hygiene audit complete and any tracking/feed issues resolved.
- Weekly reporting cadence in place and consistently on time.
- At least two independently proposed tests (audience creative or bidding) launched and read out.
- Demonstrated comfort pushing back on or improving upon a CEO-directed approach backed by data.
Who You Are
Must-Haves
- Relevant Track Record: 35 years of hands-on experience managing Meta and Google Ads accounts ideally for a DTC or consumer e-commerce brand.
- Budget Ownership: Proven experience managing meaningful ad spend with clear ownership of budget and performance outcomes.
- Strong Analytics: Comfortable in Ads Manager and Google Ads with the ability to build and interpret your own performance reporting.
- Data-Backed Confidence: A confident point of viewyoure comfortable respectfully challenging direction when you see a better approach.
- Meticulous Habits: Account hygiene (tracking naming and feed accuracy) is second nature not an afterthought.
- In-Housing Experience: Experience transitioning an account from an agency to in-house management or standing up paid media processes from scratch.
- Time Zone & Tech: Able to work fixed hours of 9:00 AM 6:00 PM Eastern Time (EST/EDT) MondayFriday with reliable high-speed internet for daily real-time collaboration.
- Flawless Communication: Strong written and spoken English for daily real-time collaboration with a U.S.-based team.
