Our opportunity
We are looking for our new Operational Excellence Partner to drive continuous improvement and standardization initiatives across Maersks Depots.
The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of logistics operations Lean Six Sigma methodology process improvement methodologies and change management and will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements that drive operational safety quality efficiency profitability savings and customer satisfaction.
- Implement a comprehensive operational excellence strategy that supports Maersks business objectives and drives continuous improvement within operations and stakeholders
- Act as a partner in delivering training programs using Lean Six Sigma tools and methodologies according to Lean integrator guidelines
- Use Lean Six Sigma tools such as RCA 5 Whys SMED VSM (Value Stream Mapping) and Kaizen for analysis and continuous improvement across all areas
- Identify track and audit KPIs to measure the effectiveness of operational excellence initiatives
- Lead and support Lean Corner routines (Daily/Weekly meetings in Gemba with shopfloor personnel)
- Define and maintain a continuous improvement framework including process maps metrics and best practices
- Support cross-functional teams to identify improvement opportunities and implement changes
- Lead digital improvement initiatives and report simplification promoting visual management
- Develop and deliver training programs to ensure proficiency in process improvement methodologies
- Lead and mentor process improvement teams ensuring project success
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders including operations and vendors
- Follow up on savings and P&L improvements managing monthly savings control for EBIT in partnership with Finance Procurement Product Excellence etc.
- Ensure alignment with global CEN standards adapting them to local depot realities

- Bachelors degree in Engineering Logistics or Supply Chain Management
- Intermediate to advanced English (written and spoken)
- 35 years of experience in logistics operations and process improvement (manufacturing experience also considered)
- Strong knowledge of Lean Six Sigma and Kaizen methodologies
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Experience leading and mentoring complex projects
- Green Belt certification (required or preferred); Black Belt is a plus
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven mindset
- Knowledge of Power BI
- Experience with digital tools such as RPA and Microsoft Power Automate (nice to have)
- Knowledge of Minitab (nice to have)
