Micreservices Developer

About the Role

We are looking for a Microservices Developer to support the development and delivery of microservices for a new MSP solution.

Working closely with senior developers and cross-functional teams you will build and maintain backend services following established architecture coding standards security practices and development guidelines.

This is an opportunity for a developer looking to strengthen their experience with Java Spring Boot microservices AWS APIs databases and modern cloud-native development practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain microservices using Java and Spring Boot.
  
• Develop and integrate REST APIs and work with JSON-based data.
  
• Implement features following established architecture coding standards and development guidelines.
  
• Work with SQL and/or NoSQL databases as part of microservice development.
  
• Support authentication and authorization implementations.
  
• Work with messaging and event-driven communication patterns.
  
• Implement logging monitoring and basic observability practices.
  
• Participate in debugging troubleshooting and resolution of application issues.
  
• Write unit tests and contribute to maintaining code quality.
  
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and collaborate with other developers and cross-functional teams.
  
• Contribute to CI/CD and deployment processes.
  
• Document development work and participate in knowledge sharing.
  
• Take ownership of assigned tasks and deliver them within agreed timelines.

• Backend: Java Spring Boot REST APIs JSON and basic microservices architecture.
  
• AWS: Familiarity with AWS cloud services commonly used in microservices environments.
  
• Data: Basic SQL and/or NoSQL database knowledge.
  
• Messaging: Awareness of messaging and event-driven architecture concepts.
  
• Security: Basic understanding of authentication and authorization.
  
• DevOps: Familiarity with Git CI/CD pipelines Docker and containerization.
  
• Observability: Basic understanding of logging monitoring and application observability.
  
• Testing: Basic unit testing and debugging skills particularly with JUnit.
