About the Role

The HR Generalist will provide comprehensive Human Resources support for an assigned client account serving as the primary point of contact for employees and the client on matters related to employee administration payroll labor compliance onboarding offboarding and employee experience.

This role is responsible for ensuring the accurate execution of HR processes and compliance with Colombian labor laws under the supervision of the HR Manager.

Key Responsibilities

Human Resources Administration

Ensure employee ecords and personnel files are complete accurate and up to date.

Prepare and coordinate employment-related documentation including employment certifications salary verification letters and HR correspondence.

Maintain HR systems databases trackers and employee records.

Respond to employee inquiries and requests with timely professional and service-oriented support.

Manage employee administrative requests related to equipment assignments system access and required documentation throughout the employment lifecycle.

Onboarding and Offboarding

Coordinate the onboarding process for new hires including document collection corporate orientation and integration follow up.

Manage onboarding logistics including work location details schedules arrival instructions and required documentation.

Coordinate client-led orientation and training activities delivered by the clients team.

Follow up on onboarding activities managed by other departments including equipment provisioning and system access.

Coordinate employee termination processes in accordance with Colombian labor laws and internal policies.

Prepare and manage separation documentation equipment recovery and deactivation of system access.

Payrroll Benefits and Leave Administration

Collect consolidate and validate payroll inputs for submission on the payroll team.

Review and validate payroll results prior to final processing.

Respond to and resolve payroll- and benefits-related inquiries and issues.

Coordinate the administration of life insurance and other applicable employee benefits.

Manage and track vacation sick leave leaves of absence and other employee absences.

Address employee inquiries regarding attendance time off policies and leave management.

Client Support and Labor Compliance

Serve as the primary HR point of contact for the assigned client account.

Advise clients on Colombian labor law internal policies vacations medical leave leaves of absence overtime public holidays on-call arrangements and employee termination processes.

Participate in recurring client meetings and additional meetings required to address HR matters.

Identify and escalate employee relations concerns labor risks or situations requiring HR Manager intervention.

Support audits and regulatory compliance initiatives.

Develop and implement HR processes aligned with client needs while ensuring compliance with internal policies and applicable labor regulations.

Occupational Health and Safety SG SST

Support the implementation and ongoing maintenance of the Occupational Health and Safety Management System SG-SST.

Coordinate safety training programs prevention campaigns and employee wellness initiatives related to occupational health and safety.

Monitor and follow up on medical leaves workplace accidents and occupational health recommendations.

Support audits inspections and requests from government agencies related to occupational health and safety compliance.

Manage documentation required to maintain regulatory compliance in occupational health and safety matters.

Reporting and Continuous Improvement

Monitor and track Human Resources metrics including turnover absenteeism and headcount.

Prepare periodic reports for clients and internal leadership.

Support continuous improvement initiatives and HR projects led by the HR Manager.

Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

Bachelors degree in Human Resources Business Administration Psychology Law or a related field.

Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Human Resources Generalist or similar HR role.

Experience in employee administration payroll processes and Colombian labor law.

Experience providing support to internal and/or external clients.

Knowledge and Skills

Strong knowledge of Colombian labor legislation.

Knowledge of payroll administration and employee lifecycle management.

Experience managing vacation medical leave and leave-of-absence processes.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications particulary Excel.
