Purpose
Contributes to the overall success of the Credit Risk Technology team ensuring specific individual goals
plans initiatives are delivered in support of the teams business strategies and objectives. Ensure all activities
conducted are following governing regulations internal policies and procedures.
Accountabilities
Champions a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank
relationships systems and knowledge.
Analyze highly complex business requirements; generate technical specifications to design or redesign
complex software components and applications
Leverage industry best practices design test implement and support a solution
Support the banks counterparty credit risk technology stack to ensure that calculations and reports are
accurate and timely.
Propose design and implement technology solutions to address business needs and support trading
and reporting activities.
Understand how the Banks risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities
and decisions.
Actively pursue effective and efficient operations in accordance with Scotiabanks Values its Code of
Conduct and the Global Sales Principles while ensuring adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day
business controls

Education / Experience / Other Information (include only those that are specific to the role)
Hands-on experience with Python with strong working knowledge of core Python libraries
including NumPy SciPy and Pandas.
Ability to analyze complex business requirements and translate them into detailed technical
specifications to design or enhance sophisticated software components and enterprise
aplications.
2 years of experience in Java and React with the ability to contribute to multi-stack
development when required.
2 years of experience working with cloud platforms such as Azure GCP or AWS.
2 years of experience in Unix/Linux environments with proficiency in shell scripting and
troubleshooting on Linux-based application servers.
2 years of hands-on experience with relational databases such as Oracle PostgreSQL or
Sybase including query optimization and performance tuning
