Execute the analytical and operational work that keeps the Growth teams projects moving at speed and quality. Each Growth Specialist is dedicated to one Growth Manager covering data pulling audience building GTM coordination and weekly reporting across a portfolio of 4 to 5 active projects. When the Marketing Operations team does not have bandwidth the Growth Specialist steps in to launch campaigns directly in Braze.
Accelerate test velocity by 30% in the first 6 months by owning data pulls audience setup and GTM coordination for all active projects so tests go live in the same sprint they are designed.
Maintain a clean MECE test pool at all times by managing audience segmentation and enforcing test group separation across all concurrent projects eliminating invalid results caused by audience overlap.
Deliver weekly performance reports for every active project with zero gaps providing the Growth Manager with a reliable data layer to make decisions without pulling numbers themselves.
Own GTM coordination for at least 3 active projects simultaneously by serving as the operational link between Growth Branding and Product keeping timelines on track without requiring manager involvement in execution details.
Be ready to launch campaigns in Braze within 60 days by learning the teams canvas structures and naming conventions well enough to execute a launch independently when the Marketing Operations team is at capacity.
Executes with speed and accuracy (MUST HAVE)
Moves fast on execution tasks without sacrificing quality. Completes requests end-to-end without needing step-by-step direction.
Follows checklists and SOPs consistently. Does not skip steps under time pressure.
Works with data confidently (MUST HAVE)
Writes SQL at an intermediate level to pull and validate data from a warehouse. Comfortable with Databricks or a similar environment. Expert-level SQL is not required; the bar is correct reliable queries.
Reads dashboards and identifies what the numbers mean without being told how to interpret them.
Runs ROI analysis on campaigns and incentives: cost per incremental user payback and return by segment.
Understands how marketing platforms work operationally (MUST HAVE)
Knows how campaigns are structured and launched in a CRM tool (Braze or comparable). Does not need to build automation or own the infrastructure.
Understands segments audiences and basic channel logic well enough to execute a launch from a brief when needed.
Has run CRM campaigns end to end: brief audience QA send and readout.
Knows lifecycle strategy: how onboarding activation retention and reactivation campaigns connect across the user journey.
Manages multiple workstreams at once (MUST HAVE)
Tracks tasks across 4 to 5 concurrent projects without dropping items. Uses a system to stay organized and flag risks early.
Communicates status proactively. Does not wait to be asked for an update when something is at risk.
Communicates clearly and influences without authority (MUST HAVE)
Writes clear direct updates. Does not over-explain or under-explain.
Moves cross-functional work forward by keeping stakeholders aligned not by escalating to the manager every time there is friction.
Aligns Brand Ops Product and other BU teams around each test. Keeps scope timelines and dependencies in sync from kickoff to launch.
Takes a position on what to do next and defends it with data not just with effort.
Uses AI tools to work faster and better (MUST HAVE minimum AI-L2)
Operates at AI-L2 (Practitioner) or above on Addis AI Fluency Ladder: runs at least one recurring weekly AI workflow chains multi-step prompts and validates outputs before they reach anyone else.
Uses Claude ChatGPT or comparable tools as a daily working layer: summarizing data drafting briefs structuring analysis and preparing reports faster than by hand.
Identifies where AI saves meaningful time in the workflow and applies it without being told to. Does not use AI as a substitute for thinking.
Understands incrementality and business impact (MUST HAVE)
Reads test results and separates incremental impact from noise. Understands what a control group is for and why it matters.
Connects execution decisions to GMV and revenue outcomes. Does not treat reporting as a formatting task.
Asks the right question about a result before presenting it: is this real is it big enough to act on and what should we do next.
Compares ROI across segments and recommends where to scale adjust or stop.

You may receive a real-world challenge or case study to complete. This is a chance to showcase your expertise and how you approach key problems relevant to the role.Step 5: Co-Founder Interview
