Job Summary

As the OEC leader you report through the AbbVie Office of Ethics & Compliance organization and are responsible for leading executing and continuously enhancing the local Ethics & Compliance Program in alignment with company standards and applicable legal and regulatory requirements. The OEC Senior Manager serves as the primary in-country advisor on anti-corruption and broader compliance matters while acting as a strategic business partner to enable responsible business initiatives through practical risk-based guidance. This role is expected to work closely with affiliate leadership and key cross-functional stakeholders to strengthen a culture of integrity support sound decision-making and ensure the effective operation of core compliance program elements including governance forums monitoring training third-party risk management and due diligence.

 

Job Responsibilities

Additional Information :

Education

 

  • Bachelors degree required.
  • Advanced degree in Law Business Finance Audit Regulatory or a related field is preferred.

Experience

  • Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in Compliance.
  • Minimum of 2 years of leadership experience including ownership of priorities stakeholder management projects programs and/or people leadership.
  • Strong experience in designing implementing and sustaining compliance programs.
  • Experience in multinational companies and highly regulated environments strongly preferred.
  • Experience in the pharmaceutical healthcare medical devices or other regulated life sciences industries is preferred.
  • Experience supporting business functions in a strategic partnering capacity is highly valued.

  • Execution Excellence: Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities deadlines and stakeholders effectively.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to translate complex compliance issues into clear practical guidance.
  • Problem Solving: Ability to structure issues analyze options and propose workable solutions that protect the company while enabling responsible business action.
  • Change and Culture Leadership: Ability to promote a culture of integrity accountability and ethical decision-making across the affiliate.

Technical Knowledge

  • Strong knowledge of:
    • Compliance program design and execution
    • Anti-corruption laws and principles including FCPA
    • Internal controls and process governance
    • COSO and SOx frameworks
    • Third-party risk management and due diligence
    • Compliance monitoring and training programs

Languages 

  • Fluent Spanish
  • Advanced English
