Job Summary

Take your communications career to the next level at Tetra Pak in this dynamic and wide-ranging role. To deliver on our strategic objectives we are looking for a Communications Jr Manager who will help strengthen Tetra Paks brand and reputation in the Andina region (Colombia Ecuador Peru Bolivia and Venezuela).

In this position you will work cross-functionally with colleagues from communications sales marketing and other areas to develop implement and lead Tetra Paks communications strategy in Andina.

We are seeking an energetic candidate with a passion for learning and a strong results-driven this role you will work across multiple communications disciplines and topics engaging regularly with a diverse range of audiences including Tetra Pak employees key opinion leaders in the food and beverage industry CPG marketers media and journalists as well as consumers.

The position is based in Bogota Colombia.


Tetra Pak is not sponsoring work visas or relocation for this position.

What you will do

As a Communications Jr Manager you will:

  • In partnership with the Communications Director develop a comprehensive communications strategy as well as lead the development and execution of the communications plan including budget management and tracking for Tetra Pak Andina.
  • Lead the implementation of communications activities across four areas;
  • Media relations and crisis communications management;
  • Communication of B2B initiatives and projects with a focus on innovation and sustainability;
  • Planning and execution of press events;
  • Thought leadership activities;
  • Support marketing communications at trade shows and customer events as well as manage brand content across social media and other digital channels;
  • Development and distribution of internal news;
  • Intranet optimization;
  • Leadership messaging development;
  • Planning and execution of town halls;
  • Organization of internal events;
  • Support the Managing Directors engagements with internal audiences;
  • Work with PR digital and creative agencies to develop plans and materials aligned with the communications strategy;
  • Collaborate with regional (cluster) and global communications teams;
  • Ensure a consistent and coordinated approach to communications across the region aligned with defined strategies priorities and guidelines.
We believe you have

  • Bachelors degree in Communications Journalism or a related field;
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in corporate communications;
  • Proven track record of successful communications projects and activities;
  • Familiarity with digital tools methodologies and trends;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite;
  • Experience managing websites and knowledge of HTML (preferred);
  • Highly motivated with excellent communication skills;
  • Strong ability to build relationships across multicultural and cross-functional teams;
  • Ability to influence within global organizations and challenge the status quo;
  • Strong ability to synthesize large volumes of information into clear relevant and impactful messages;
  • Proficiency in English (both written and spoken)
  • Advanced PowerPoint skills;
  • Knowledge of Adobe InDesign Photoshop or similar design tools (preferred);
  • Willingness to travel approximately 15% of the time.
