Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Construction Manager to join our PDS team in this role you will oversee the planning coordination and execution of capital projects for international clients ensuring delivery on time within budget and to the highest standards of quality safety and sustainability. You will act as the primary on-site representative for the client managing contractors consultants and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all phases of construction projects from pre-construction through closeout including scope definition scheduling cost control quality assurance and risk management.
• Serve as the main point of contact between the client design team general contractors subcontractors and regulatory authorities.
• Review and approve contractor submissions including shop drawings material submittals and method statements.
• Monitor and report on project progress costs and risks through regular updates to internal teams and clients.
• Ensure strict compliance with local building codes safety regulations (including Chinas occupational health and safety standards) environmental requirements and client-specific protocols.
• Conduct regular site inspections to verify workmanship adherence to specifications and safety compliance.
• Manage change orders claims and disputes in collaboration with the client and legal advisors when necessary.
• Foster strong relationships with local contractors suppliers and government agencies to facilitate smooth project execution.
• Promote JLLs commitment to sustainability innovation and best-in-class project delivery practices.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering Construction Management Architecture or a related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of construction management experience with at least 5 years focused on commercial industrial or high-end fit-out projects in mainland China.
• Proven track record managing projects valued at RMB 100 million or more.
• Strong knowledge of Chinese construction practices local regulations (especially Guangdong/Guangzhou) and approval processes.
• Fluency in Mandarin and English (written and spoken); Cantonese is a plus.
• Proficiency in project management software (e.g. MS Project Primavera) and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Professional certification such as PMP RICS or equivalent is preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently solve complex problems and lead multidisciplinary teams in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to travel within the Greater Bay Area as required by project demands.
