Job Summary

The Tax Supervisor is responsible for managing the companys tax compliance ensuring timely and accurate tax filings and supporting financial reporting in accordance with Cambodian tax regulations. The role also provides tax guidance to internal stakeholders and liaises with tax authorities during audits and inspections.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Prepare review and submit monthly and annual tax declarations in compliance with Cambodian tax laws.
  • Ensure timely payment of all tax obligations including VAT Withholding Tax Prepayment of Tax on Income (PTOI) Tax on Salary (TOS) and other applicable taxes.
  • Monitor tax compliance and ensure proper tax documentation and record keeping.
  • Reconcile tax accounts with accounting records and investigate discrepancies.
  • Coordinate and respond to tax audits inspections and inquiries from the General Department of Taxation (GDT).
  • Provide tax advice and recommendations to management regarding tax risks and compliance matters.
  • Keep up to date with changes in tax laws and regulations and assess their impact on the business.
  • Work closely with the Finance and Accounting team to ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Support month-end and year-end closing activities related to tax.
  • Review contracts and transactions to identify tax implications and ensure compliance.
  • Assist in improving tax processes and internal controls.
  • Supervise and guide junior accounting or tax staff when required.
MainRequirements:
  • Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance Taxation or a related field.
  • Minimum 35 years of experience in tax accounting or finance.
  • Experience in the construction decoration interior fit-out trading or related industries is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of Cambodian tax regulations and accounting principles.
  • Experience dealing with the General Department of Taxation (GDT) and tax audits.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
  • Strong analytical problem-solving and communication skills.
  • High attention to detail and ability to work under deadlines.
  • Good command of English is an advantage.
