Role Overview

As the Head of Quality Assurance you will drive and execute the QA strategy across the organization leading both manual and automation teams to ensure the highest product standards. You will shape quality practices own the end-to-end testing lifecycle and instill robust QA governance for all digital platforms and services. This leadership role collaborates closely with Engineering Product DevOps and Security to maintain system quality and reliability in high-scale mission-critical environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and execute the overall Quality Assurance strategy aligning testing initiatives with business goals product roadmap and engineering standards.
• Lead and develop Manual QA and Automation QA teams fostering a high-performance accountable and quality-driven culture.
• Establish and enforce QA governance testing standards test methodologies and release quality gates across all products and platforms.
• Manage the full testing lifecycle including test planning test execution defect management regression testing and production validation.
• Drive the adoption and expansion of automated testing across web mobile API and microservices platforms.
• Define and implement automation frameworks testing pipelines and best practices integrated into CI/CD processes.
• Manage all testing environments ensuring stability readiness configuration consistency and proper test data management.
• Lead performance engineering initiatives including stress testing load testing soak testing endurance testing and scalability validation.
• Define system performance benchmarks capacity thresholds and reliability targets in collaboration with Engineering and DevOps teams.
• Ensure high system quality for distributed systems microservices APIs mobile applications and cloud-native platforms.
• Work closely with Engineering Product DevOps and Security teams to embed quality throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Oversee test planning and execution for large-scale digital platforms with high transaction volumes and mission-critical services.
• Manage QA capacity planning resource allocation vendor coordination and testing prioritization across multiple teams and projects.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science Software Engineering or a related field is required; a masters degree is preferred.
• An advanced degree such as an MBA is a plus.
• At least 7 years of experience in software quality assurance and testing with proven leadership experience managing QA teams.
• Demonstrated experience leading both Manual QA and Automation QA functions in large-scale engineering organizations.
• Strong experience designing and implementing enterprise-level test automation frameworks and testing strategies.
• Deep understanding of software testing methodologies the software development and testing lifecycle and quality engineering best practices.
• Hands-on experience with automated testing tools and frameworks such as Selenium Appium Cypress Playwright Karate JMeter or similar technologies.
• Extensive experience with performance stress load and soak testing for high-scale systems.
• Experience managing and maintaining testing environments test data and environment orchestration processes.
• Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and automated quality gates.
• Experience integrating automated testing in DevOps and CI/CD ecosystems.
• Knowledge of observability monitoring and production quality validation practices.
• Excellent leadership stakeholder management communication and team development skills.
• Experience in banking fintech digital platforms or high-transaction environments is highly preferred.
• Good understanding of reliability engineering principles such as SLOs SLIs and error budgets.
• Experience with DevSecOps practices and modern security approaches is preferred.
• Familiarity with SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Strong systems thinking skills and the ability to simplify complex technical environments.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence engineering culture and practices.
• Experience working in fast-paced high-scale environments.
• Cost optimization experience would be advantageous.
