Overview:
In this role you will be responsible for operational & strategic procurement activities and leading a Procurement team. The focus is on managing procurement processes developing supplier relationships & supporting internal stakeholders with sourcing and purchasing activities.
You will be a key interface between internal departments & external suppliers ensuring efficient cost-effective & high-quality commercial arrangements are achieved in support of critical business addition you will actively promote development of the team processes & procurement best practices.
Responsibilities:
Lead support & further develop the Procurement team on both operational and functional topics
Set team strategy & objectives
Monitor performance against targets & address any issues
Coordinate & where necessary prioritize procurement activities within the team
Coach & support team members in operational & strategic procurement activities
Ensure efficient workload distribution & promote a collaborative team culture
Ensure compliance with procurement processes policies and governance standards
Manage & execute high-value procurement activities across the full purchasing lifecycle
Independently run RFQs RFPs supplier evaluations and tender processes
Negotiate pricing contracts and commercial terms with suppliers and service providers
Build manage and further develop supplier relationships and supplier performance
Support internal stakeholders in defining business requirements and specifications
Identify and implement cost-saving and value-creation initiatives
Manage escalation topics and support operational continuity
Conduct market monitoring and analyze supplier and pricing developments
Requirements:
Several years of experience in Procurement / Purchasing ideally within a technology- or service-oriented environment (5 years)
Experience leading team members or acting in a Team Lead / coordination role (3 years)
Strong experience in supplier management contract negotiations and commercial discussions
Proven experience managing RFQs RFPs and sourcing processes independently
Ability to coordinate teams motivate employees and take ownership of topics and deliverables
Hands-on mentality with a structured and solution-oriented working style
Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Confident and professional interaction with internal and external stakeholders
Good knowledge of MS Office and experience with ERP / procurement systems is an advantage
Fluency in English is essential; German is considered a plus
