Head of Product – Sports Betting, Remote

CloserHire is partnering with a fast-growing international technology company within the sports betting and iGaming industry to recruit an experienced Head of Product for their team in Sofia Bulgaria. This senior leadership role will take ownership of the product vision strategy and roadmap ensuring the development of innovative scalable and commercially successful sports betting products. You will work closely with Engineering Design Commercial Operations and senior leadership to translate market opportunities and customer needs into high-impact digital products.

Responsibilities:

• Define and own the overall product vision strategy and roadmap
• Lead the development and evolution of sports betting and iGaming products
• Translate business objectives customer needs and market opportunities into clear product priorities
• Manage and mentor a team of Product Managers and Product Owners Own the complete product lifecycle from discovery and validation through development launch and optimisation
• Work closely with Engineering and Design teams to deliver intuitive reliable and high-performing digital experiences
• Prioritise product initiatives based on customer value commercial impact data and technical feasibility
• Define and monitor key product
• KPIs and success metrics
• Use customer feedback behavioural data and market insights to continuously improve products
• Drive experimentation
• A/B testing and data-driven product optimisation
• Identify opportunities to improve player experience engagement retention and platform performance
• Collaborate with Commercial and Business Development teams to understand client and market requirements
• Monitor competitor activity industry developments and emerging trends within sports betting and iGaming
• Coordinate product launches and ensure alignment across Engineering QA Marketing Operations and Commercial teams
• Balance short-term commercial priorities with the long-term product and technology strategy
• Establish effective product management processes standards and ways of working
• Present product strategy roadmap progress and performance to senior leadership and key stakeholders

Requirements:

• 8 years of experience in Product Management including significant experience in a product leadership position
• Proven experience leading digital or technology products from strategy through execution
• Strong understanding of sports betting iGaming or online gaming products is highly advantageous
• Experience managing and developing
• Product Managers and Product Owners Strong knowledge of product discovery roadmap planning prioritisation and lifecycle management
• Experience working closely with Software Engineering UX/UI QA Data and Commercial teams
• Strong understanding of Agile product development methodologies
• Data-driven mindset with experience using analytics
• KPIs experimentation and customer insights to guide decisions
• Strong commercial awareness and ability to connect product decisions with business outcomes
• Excellent understanding of user experience and customer-centric product development
• Experience working with high-traffic real-time or transactional digital platforms is an advantage
• Strong stakeholder management and executive-level communication skills
• Ability to make effective prioritisation decisions in a fast-paced and continuously evolving environment
• Excellent leadership communication and problem-solving skills
• Excellent command of English Previous experience within sports betting iGaming fintech gaming or another high-growth technology environment is highly advantageous
