The Regional Master Data Process Owner will be part of the Global Finance Processes & Systems Optimization team in charge of leading the Finance transformation of the group digitalizing processes & organizations and helping LDC to rotate to Finance best practices and latest technologies (SAP S/4 HANA ARIBA BI). He/she will report to the Global Master Data Business Process Owner (Global MDM BPO).

This role will be to lead the regions MDM Governance and deployment alongside rollout projects (from fit gap to hypercare). He/she will work side-by-side with business stakeholders in the region (including MDM SBS in charge of the master data maintenance) to assess master data processes & data model design target process provide guidance to master cleansing & migration teams & to ensure the successful implementation and adoption of data standards & processes.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The Regional MDM Business Process Owner (BPO) serves as the regional representative of the Global MDM BPO organization and is accountable for ensuring the successful deployment adoption governance and continuous improvement of master data processes standards and quality within the assigned region.

The Regional MDM BPO acts as the bridge between business stakeholders Shared Business Services (SBS) project teams and IT ensuring local requirements are incorporated into the global MDM Core Model while maintaining global standardization and governance

1. MDM Process Governance & Deployment

• Promote and advocate the Global MDM Core Model within the region.
• Ensure regional compliance with global master data standards processes and governance principles.
• Identify and assess regional business requirements and gaps against the Global Core Model.
• Drive gap resolution while protecting global standardization objectives.
• Maintain process documentation and business requirements documentation.
• Support design and implementation of process improvements.

2. Project & Rollout Support

• Contribute to MDM workstreams/program during regional rollout projects by leading governance and process work
• Conduct current-state (As-Is) assessments.
• Facilitate target-state (To-Be) process design.
• Coordinate fit-gap analysis and business requirements gathering.
• Support user acceptance testing (UAT) activities where MDM-owned processes are impacted.
• Coordinate hypercare and post-go-live support.
• Ensure successful adoption of MDM standards and processes.

3. Data Modeling & Process Design

• Collect validate and prioritize master data requirements.
• Support onboarding of new master data objects and attributes.
• Collaborate with IT and architecture teams on data model enhancements.
• Ensure consistency of data structures across platforms.
• Define maintenance processes and governance controls for new data elements.
• Maintain alignment between business requirements and the MDM Core Model.

4. Data Quality Management

• Define and monitor regional data quality standards.
• Promote data quality awareness and accountability across stakeholders.
• Analyze root causes of data defects and governance issues.
• Coordinate corrective and preventive actions.
• Track data quality KPIs and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure consistency completeness accuracy and uniqueness of master data.

5. Stakeholder Management

• Manage escalations relating to master data processes and governance.
• Build strong relationships with regional business leaders.
• Ensure alignment between local business needs and global standards.

6. Continuous Improvement

• Identify process optimization opportunities.
• Propose automation and simplification initiatives.
• Support implementation of enhancement requests.
• Contribute to the evolution of the Global MDM roadmap.
• Share best practices across regions and functions.

The candidate should have a good understanding of Master Data appetite to interact with cross-functional & various project teams and have a strong process knowledge (best practices key controls etc). They should also have a solid experience on IT projects ideally related to Master Data processes for Accounting Treasury and Controlling.
