The uncertain times we're living in give no indicator of who will be laid off and who will continue working. Moreover, rewarding your employees non-monetary can also be some sort of demonetization to reduce any company’s expenses.

There is a glimmer of light at the end of the tunnel – Incentives can still be given to your employees and show them they are doing a fabulous job without paying any extra money.

In today’s article, I’m going to share with you five best tips to accomplish rewarding your employees and keep the brainstorming for ideas phase hassle-free!

  • Thanking your employee publicly - Besides the hanging of the traditional “Star of The Month” photo in the break room, saying thank you in a public manner will demonstrate to your team how much you care.

  • Expand their area of responsibility - Doing normal daily tasks, as usual, implies nothing new or bigger in value, so make sure to add responsibilities and tasks to your most hard-working employee’s schedule.

  • Arrange social gathering - Getting to know your employees informally will strengthen the bond between you and your employees and give your employees the confidence to communicate any ideas they might have had about work.

  • Giving time off - A pad on the shoulder and saying you deserve some time off to enjoy with the family can go a long way – Not only does it give your employee the chance to rest from the daily workload and start fresh, but also gives them the intuition of “You’ve worked hard the past 3 months take a break”

  • Send a hand-written note - In case you are a medium business owner or bigger, chances are you have over a hundred employees – Consider writing a note to a specific addressee in your staff to thank her/him by name.
