About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Functional Analyst with a strong accounting background to support a major financial integration and transformation initiative within the automotive financial services sector.
In this role you will act as the bridge between business and IT teams helping align accounting processes reporting structures and financial system integrations across two merged entities. You will work closely with finance teams technical teams and stakeholders to ensure accurate accounting mappings reconciliation processes invoicing flows and reporting solutions.

Key Responsibilities
Functional Analysis & Business Alignment
- Act as the liaison between Accounting Finance and IT teams.
- Translate business and accounting requirements into functional and technical solutions.
- Support the alignment of accounting processes across merged business entities.
- Analyze and optimize financial workflows and system integrations.
Accounting & Financial Systems Support
- Adjust accounting posting templates and mappings.
- Translate application trigger events into accounting entries and account mappings.
- Support reconciliation activities in collaboration with IT and finance teams.
- Assist accounting teams with data extraction analysis and reporting activities.
- Support invoicing-related batch jobs and system adjustments.
Technical Analysis & Reporting
- Query databases using SQL for analysis and reporting purposes.
- Work with SAP BusinessObjects (SAP BO) for reporting and data formatting.
- Analyze system-generated batch jobs and application data flows.
- Support troubleshooting and issue resolution across finance-related systems.
Project Coordination & Stakeholder Management
- Participate in project management and coordination activities.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams across finance and IT departments.
- Track tasks and workflows using Jira.
- Support delivery timelines reporting and documentation activities.
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong background in Accounting and Financial Processes.
- Several years of experience in Functional Analysis and/or Project Management.
- Strong SQL knowledge and database analysis experience.
- Experience working with Jira.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to bridge the gap between business and technical teams.
- Experience with financial reporting and reconciliation processes.
- Excellent communication skills in Dutch and English.
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Experience with SAP BusinessObjects (SAP BO).
- Experience in financial systems integration projects.
- Exposure to automotive financial services or leasing environments.
- Experience working in merger or transformation programs.
