Facility Building Manager
Job Summary
We work daily to provide optimal support for this service by means of professional facility solutions. As a Building Manager you are the central pivotal figure in the daily management and services of one or more government buildings. For this position we are looking for a Building Responsible Cabinet. The cabinets are all within walking distance of Brussels Central Station.
For this position the focus is on coordinating the delivery of a new cabinet location in which two cabinets will move in.
You manage a team of two logistics support staff and work closely with the Regional Manager ensuring a smooth and high-quality execution of the work in the field. You act as a point of contact for users and external partners monitor the progress of the works and are responsible for solving operational bottlenecks.
Do of function:
You ensure that everything in and around the building runs smoothly. You follow up on technical and facility problems organise small relocation projects manage security systems (such as badge management evacuation plans and access control) and monitor general order and addition you are responsible for customer-oriented services: you capture the needs of internal customers work out proposals for improvement and monitor the implementation of high-quality services according to HFBs vision.
You are in close contact with the regional manager with whom you coordinate on operational decisions opportunities for improvement and escalations. You are also available in the event of emergencies and take initiative. You ensure clear communication to building users and support the organization of meetings and events.
Finally you are jointly responsible for the follow-up of ISO actions well-being and safety aspects and you actively contribute to the continuous optimization of the service.
What do we expect from you
You organize and coordinate the daily facility operations within the building.
You are the first point of contact for all practical and technical questions from building users.
You manage a team and motivate them to optimal performance.
You ensure a safe and well-maintained working environment: you follow up on deliveries technical issues cleaning and maintenance.
You work in consultation with the regional manager on a customer-oriented efficient and high-quality service.
You participate in meetings about safety and well-being and carry out corresponding actions.
You manage equipment badges keys signage and follow up on suppliers.
You actively participate in improvement projects and think about optimizing processes.
You monitor deadlines and respond to customer requests (VKCs) in a timely manner.
You are ready in case of calamities and unexpected situations.
Your profile requirements
Leadership experience or talent to manage a small team in a coaching way.
We are looking for a (medior/senior profile)
Strong organizational skills and sense of responsibility.
Customer focus: you understand what customers need and act proactively.
Technical affinity: you know how to deal with building technical systems suppliers and maintenance contracts.
Good communication skills both verbal and written.
Flexibility and solution-oriented thinking in the face of problems or unexpected situations.
Knowledge of safety procedures and interest in well-being at work.
Willingness to follow training courses and deepen your knowledge in facility management ISO IWMS or other relevant themes.
Experience within a facility or technical environment is a plus.
Skills
Min 5 years of experience with help desk programs
At least 5 years of experience with technical affinity (building systems suppliers and maintenance contracts).
Strong organizational talent
Languages
Dutch - Native or bilingual proficiency
