Job Purpose and Impact

The Energy Coordinator EMEA will execute complex process enablement and non-commodity cost optimization strategies for the Gas & Power business across the this role you will implement EMEA Procure-to-Pay process improvements establish governance and controls and lead the regional effort to identify and capture non-commodity cost reductions across energy taxes levies network fees and capacity charges. You will partner closely with key stakeholders across plants finance sourcing and master data teams to create structure coordination and measurable savings delivery without replacing functional execution teams. You will dedicate approximately 30% of your time to Procure-to-Pay process enablement and governance and 70% to non-commodity cost optimization. This role can be done from any location where Cargill has offices in EMEA.

Key Accountabilities

Procure-to-Pay Process Enablement & Governance (30% of time)

  • Lead the regional implementation of EMEA Procure-to-Pay process-mapping recommendations driving process standardization governance and continuous improvement and operationalizing controlled PO Non-PO and financial invoice decisions with plants finance invoice-to-pay and controllership.
  • Act as the single cross-functional coordination point across energy operations plants finance invoice-to-pay master data and trading and price-control teams establishing plant-level points of contact escalation routes and follow-through cadence.
  • Manage supplier process communication and non-commercial relationships ensuring suppliers follow agreed invoicing data and payment requirements and oversee external consultants while internalizing recurring controls and transferring specialist knowledge into the organization.

Non-Commodity Cost Optimization (70% of time)

  • Lead the regional effort to identify validate and capture non-commodity cost reductions for Gas & Power across EU countries and the UK including energy taxes levies network fees capacity charges and grid-related cost drivers.
  • Build and manage the non-commodity savings opportunity pipeline coordinating eligibility checks data gathering applications and external advisor follow-up while tracking verified savings budget impact and recurring benefits.
  • Monitor regulatory changes tax relief schemes and grid tariff outlook by country providing early alerts to sites and improving annual energy budget inputs with correct tax levy network fee and capacity assumptions.
  • Independently handle complex issues with minimal supervision while escalating only the most complex issues to appropriate staff.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of four years of related work experience
  • Other minimum qualifications may apply
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with the design and implementation of new processes and tools
  • Experience in energy utilities procurement or supply chain including familiarity with Gas & Power markets and non-commodity cost drivers such as taxes levies network fees and capacity charges
  • Working knowledge of Procure-to-Pay vendor master data and invoice validation processes
  • Experience coordinating cross-functional stakeholders and managing external advisors or consultants
