Data and Analytics Manager

THE POSITION

Developing and managing databases ICT applications and data flows
for data management in collaboration with internal and external partners to
meet user demands.
The Data and Analytics Manager reports to the ICT Manager who reports to the Director.

TAKEN

Manages databases:

• Prepares specifications for the technical aspects of
  database setup to submit to potential suppliers
• Development and programming of the shared database by
  an external partner and writes procedures for the use and entry
  of data into the database
• Test the programmed database in consultation with the users
  analyze the test results make the necessary changes and/or propose
  changes to the external partner developing the database.
• Organizes in consultation with the involved partner or non-profit organization meetings and
  consultation sessions regarding the development and current status of the
  joint database.
• Ensures the follow-up of project decisions in collaboration with the
  involved partners or non-profit organizations and is responsible for communication with internal
  managers and external suppliers.
• Prepares the implementation of the shared database and
  provides training to the key users
• Investigates problems in the operation of the non-profit organizations and funds or problems
  linked to data contacts the parties involved (users
  partners employees) and seeks possible (IT) solutions (e.g. proposing
  a new tool to optimize operations and
  share information more efficiently).
• Analyzes user requests (NPOs and funds) develops or modifies
  separate databases and drafts proposals to
  meet their requests.
• Investigates user needs (e.g. management of institutions
  training courses etc.) analyzes current applications and proposes improvements
  .
• Supports users in maintaining individual databases
  or creating or modifying new applications (e.g.
  adding forms or tables to the database formatting reports)

Responsible for the management of the shared database:

• Manages the users the data structure and the access rights to the
  shared database
• Is responsible for the configuration and backup of the shared
  database and ensures the security of the system

Develops reports:

• Prepares reports to share data with
  users in an insightful way so that they can interpret and use it.
• Verifies the accuracy of data from annual accounts and subsidy files
• Makes comparisons between data from different sources data cubes

Other activities:

• participates in working groups and meetings within their own organization

CRITERIA
Knowledge and Complexity

• Knowledge level: Bachelors or equivalent through experience
• 2 to 3 years of work experience
• Thorough knowledge of computer science software/database development
• Thorough knowledge of current and company-specific software
• Thorough knowledge of BI tools
• Knowledge of planning and organizing
• Problem solving
• Problem treatment
• The ability to analyze and resolve user problems with
  the databases and to formulate proposals for improving
  data management
• The ability to develop program and manage user-friendly
  and accurate databases based on information from various streams

Independence

• Is independent in managing data flows
• Is bound by GDPR guidelines and internal agreements and procedures
• Consult the supervisor and/or project leader in case of doubt
  problems (new) licenses budgetary decisions or difficult
  user complaints.
