Job Summary

Overview: Our client is a well-established private healthcare organization seeking a professional and detail-oriented Medical & Pathology Administrative Assistant to join their team on a temporary basis. The assignment is expected to run for approximately two weeks with the possibility of extending to one month. The successful candidate will provide administrative and reception support and play an important role in ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of daily operations.


Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Provide reception telephone and email support.
  • Assist with specimen accessioning and related administrative tasks.
  • Perform data entry and maintain accurate records.
  • Assist with Laboratory Information System (LIS) administration.
  • Distribute reports and correspondence as required.
  • Assist with billing and general office administration.
  • Maintain confidentiality of patient and organizational information.
  • Support the smooth and efficient operation of the office.

Requirements
  • Minimum of 5 CXC/CSEC subjects including English A (Grade 1 or 2).
  • Minimum typing speed of 5060 words per minute.
  • At least 1 year of administrative experience.
  • Strong computer skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Medical office laboratory hospital or healthcare administrative experience is an asset.
  • Experience with a Laboratory Information System (LIS) or electronic medical records is an advantage.


Required Skills:
