Group Procurement Manager (Distribution Sector)

Overview: Our client is a leading regional distribution company based in Barbados with proven client activity across the OECS. Due to growth they are seeking to add a proven professional to the management team.

Duties Responsibilities:

• Design the forecasting models supplier scorecards buying processes and on-going management of the processes.
  
• Provide concise information to directors to assist with sourcing directives.
  
• Ensure financial ROI on procurement is formulated and documented accordingly by translating procurement into financial impact: savings delivered margin protected cash released etc.
  
• Centralize procurement and inventory management decisions.
  
• Increase supplier options by verifying product suitability to meet current/future demands.
  
• Monitor and manage Inventory control including management of key staff.
  

• Qualified in a Procurement Supply chain or Inventory related discipline.
  
• At least 8 years in procurement supply chain or logistics with at least 3 in leadership or coordinator role.
  
• Pharmaceutical medical or healthcare distribution background a distinct advantage.
  
• Experience managing direct reports or a small team with examples of setting standards and building accountability.
  
• Proven track record of cross-border multi-entity procurement.
  
• Experience of redesigning or building a procurement function or workflow.
  
• Proven Director level communication.
  
• Strong demand forecasting and inventory analysis.
  
• ERP fluency. Acumatica preferred. SAP Oracle or NetSuite would be considered.
  
• Advanced Excel and strong analytical thinking.
  
• Proven multiple territory experience (e.g. Caribbean Latin American or small-island-state market exposure).
  
• Tender response and government or institutional supply experience.
  
• Competent with Power BI Tableau or similar analytics tools.
