Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer

About the Role

We are looking for a detail-oriented QA Engineer with 3-5 years of experience to ensure the quality and reliability of our software products. You will be responsible for designing test plans executing manual & automated tests and collaborating with developers to identify bugs before release. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of testing methodologies and experience in both web and mobile environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and analyze system specifications and requirement documents.
• Create detailed comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases.
• Estimate prioritize plan and coordinate testing activities.
• Execute manual test cases (functional regression integration smoke) and analyze results.
• Design develop and maintain automated test scripts (Selenium Cypress or similar).
• Identify record document thoroughly and track bugs using tools like JIRA or Asana.
• Perform API testing using Postman or REST Assured.
• Collaborate with the ReactJS developers and Product Managers to understand user stories.
• Conduct root cause analysis of identified defects and provide actionable feedback.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies (stand-ups retrospectives sprint planning).

Qualifications :

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Experience: 3-5 years of hands-on experience in Software Quality Assurance.
• Testing Tools: Proficiency in at least one automation tool (Selenium WebDriver Cypress Playwright).
• API Testing: Strong experience with Postman Swagger or REST Assured.
• Bug Tracking: Experience with JIRA Trello or Azure DevOps.
• Methodologies: Solid understanding of Agile/Scrum STLC and various testing types (Black box White box).
• Technical Knowledge: Basic understanding of HTML CSS JavaScript and RESTful APIs.
• Version Control: Familiarity with Git/GitHub.
• Soft Skills: Excellent analytical problem-solving and communication skills.

Nice to Have (Preferred)

• Experience with Performance Testing (JMeter LoadRunner).
• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins GitHub Actions).
• ISTQB Certification.
