Job Summary
- Identifying and sourcing reliable local and international suppliers.
- Requesting and comparing quotations to secure the best quality products at competitive prices.
- Negotiating prices delivery schedules and payment terms with vendors.
- Preparing and processing purchase orders accurately and efficiently.
- Monitoring orders and coordinating with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers and service providers.
- Working closely with internal departments to understand purchasing requirements and operational needs.
- Monitoring stock levels and coordinating purchases to avoid shortages or overstock situations.
- Assisting with inventory management and stock control activities.
- Maintaining accurate purchasing records supplier information and procurement documentation.
- Tracking market trends and identifying opportunities to improve purchasing efficiency and reduce costs.
- Ensuring all procurement activities comply with company policies and procedures.
Requirements
- Previous experience in purchasing procurement or supply chain operations.
- Hospitality industry experience will be a strong advantage.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Proven ability to source suppliers and obtain competitive quotations.
- Good understanding of inventory management and purchasing procedures.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications particularly Excel Word and Outlook.
- The ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with colleagues and suppliers.
