Job Summary

AsMedical Affairs Manager & MSL Lead CVRM you will lead medical strategy and field medical excellence for selected cardiovascular renal and metabolic brands in Austria. You will own the integrated medical plan lead and develop theMSL team and work closely with internal and external stakeholders to translate scientific insights into impactful compliant medical activities.

This role combinesstrategic leadershipwithfield medical leadership. You will contribute to pre-launch and lifecycle planning evidence generation scientific exchange and cross-functional execution helping to improve standards of care and patient outcomes across Austria.

Key Responsibilities

You will:

  • Lead medical strategyby developing and owning the integrated medical brand plan and associated budget aligning office-based and field-based activities with CVRM objectives.

  • Lead the MSL teamby defining the field medical strategy recruiting coaching and developing team members to deliver high-quality compliant scientific engagement.

  • Provide medical expertiseto inform brand strategy support pre-launch readiness and guide lifecycle management activities.

  • Generate and translate insightsfrom field engagements and stakeholder interactions into clear medical priorities evidence needs and action plans.

  • Partner cross-functionallywith Market Access Regulatory Affairs Medical Information Patient Safety Diagnostics Clinical Operations and Commercial colleagues to ensure aligned execution.

  • Ensure scientific accuracy and governanceby reviewing medical materials acting as medical signatory where applicable and supporting dissemination of study results through congresses and publications.

  • Plan and deliver medical education activitiesincluding advisory boards and internal scientific training with clear objectives documentation and follow-up.

  • Support evidence generationthrough externally sponsored research real-world evidence initiatives registries and observational studies ensuring compliance with applicable SOPs GCP and audit requirements.

  • Oversee scientific engagement processesincluding timely and balanced handling of medical enquiries and appropriate escalation where needed.

  • Manage resources responsiblyby overseeing budget and activities across office and field medical work while upholding high standards of ethics quality and compliance.

Essential Requirements

  • Minimum Masters degree in medicine pharmacy life sciences or another relevant scientific discipline; PhD preferred.

  • Solid pharmaceuticalMedical Affairs experience including2-3 years as an MSLand additional experience in broaderMedical Affairs rolessuch asMedical AdvisororMedical Affairs Manager ideally withinCVRMor a closely related therapeutic area.

  • Strong understanding ofMedical Affairs strategyand the ability to translate data and insights into actionable plans

  • Proven experience in engaging withHCPs and scientific experts

  • Good knowledge oflocal regulatory and market access requirementsrelevant to Medical Affairs activities

  • Strong understanding of thelegal and ethical frameworkfor medicinal products in Austria including theArzneimittelgesetzPharmig Code and related compliance requirements

  • Excellentcommunication and presentation skills with the ability to explain complex scientific information clearly to different audiences

  • Very goodGerman and English both written and spoken

  • Ability to work effectivelyindependently and cross-functionally

  • Driving licence Band willingness to travel within Austria (approx. 30% travel)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Priorline management or coaching experience

  • Experience incardiovascular renal and metabolic diseases

  • An establishedCVRM stakeholder networkin Austria

  • Experience supportingevidence generation such as ESRs RWE registries or observational studies

  • Strongproject managementexperience
