IT Infrastructure Engineer
Job Summary
We are looking for an Infrastructure Engineer to help us build and run the platform that powers everything Platomics does. Youll own the lifecycle of our Kubernetes clusters (on-prem and in public cloud) drive our Infrastructure-as-Code practices forward with Ansible and Terraform and keep our servers storage and network humming along reliably. This is a hands-on role: one day you might be writing Terraform modules to spin up new cloud resources the next youll be racking servers and tracing a network issue in the data centre.
Youll work closely with our Engineering team to deliver the infrastructure they need and partner with other departments to make sure everything stays secure and compliant.
Youll need to be willing and able to work on-premise at least 60% of the time.

What you bring to the table
Strong knowledge of Linux
Comfortable spending your day in a 100% Linux environment
Hands-on experience operating Kubernetes and containerized workloads both on-prem and in public cloud
Working knowledge of Ansible and Terraform
Ability to write playbooks and modules
Experience with KVM and Proxmox virtualisation
Familiarity with server hardware and network switching (Cisco Arista)
Some exposure to Ceph storage and at least one public cloud (Azure GCP or AWS)
Comfortable with Bash and Python scripting Git and CI/CD pipelines (GitLab or GitHub)
At least 3 years of experience as an IT or Infrastructure Engineer
A security-oriented mindset and a strong willingness to learn
Professional written and verbal English
