The opportunity

You want to actively be part of creating new products and help shape our future product portfolio As a Product Design Intern within our innovation team youll learn through doing and have the opportunity to contribute significantly to all aspects of the design process. Were looking for someone with real creative flair a passion for learning and a drive to develop innovative user-focused products and experiences.

Your Mission

• Research & identify new project opportunities to provide inspiration and project direction.
• Gain a deep understanding of our user journey to identify opportunities for innovation.
• Work alongside engineering product managers and marketing to contribute across our full product design process.
• Compile engaging on-brand presentations and communicate your ideas effectively to the team.
• Craft beautiful user-focused design stories that could translate into tangible concepts.
• Generate concepts from sketch to prototype.
• Create 3D CAD to evaluate your ideas or to create fast prototypes.
• Create handmade prototypes (e.g. card foam) when required.
• Design innovative packaging concepts for new and existing products.
• Engage in our CMF process (color material finish) - ideation development & sampling.
• Actively participate in the sourcing and maintenance of a comprehensive materials library including discovery into new material resources processing & technologies (including sample management and continual labelling and tracking).
• Support the wider team on a range of project tasks.
  
  

Your skills

• You are currently enrolled in a design-focused programme (product design industrial design or other related programme).
• You can demonstrate a basic level of proficiency in sketching model making 2D design development (Illustrator Photoshop InDesign) 3D modelling (Solidworks / Fusion 360) & rendering (KeyShot).
• You are open-minded passionate about the subject with a strong willingness to learn.
• You are an effective communicator who is driven to bring fresh perspectives to the table.
• You are creative forward-thinking with an exceptional eye for detail.
• You have an affinity with user-focused design.
• You possess the ability to communicate ideas effectively.
• You are motivated to gain insights to influence the woom design process and company culture.
• Applications without a portfolio will unfortunately not be considered.
• You are fluent in English. German is a definite plus.

For this position we offer you a gross monthly salary starting at EUR 1518.00 on a full-time basis. Of course we take into account your individual qualifications and experience and are willing to pay an appropriate overpayment. We will be happy to discuss details in person.
