We are looking for an inspiring Technical Manager to lead innovation empower technical talent and partner with customers to bring exceptional food experiences to life. You will influence strategy guide fresh product development and make an impact across customers teams and markets.

You will be based in the Vienna Office and report directly to the Technical Director EE and dotted line to the Commercial Director South Eastern Europe.

In this exciting role you will:

People Leadership

• Lead mentor and inspire a technical team of more than ten professionals
• Support capability building coaching and career development
• Create an environment where collaboration curiosity and innovation thrive
• Promote a EH&S culture within laboratory and technical environments
• Create safety awareness and continuous improvement plans
• Foster an inclusive workplace where diverse perspectives fuel innovation and performance

Strategic Leadership:

• Contribute to the development of technical strategies aligned with business and market priorities
• Improve technical resources laboratory capabilities and pilot plant investments
• Strengthen technical execution through cross-functional collaboration and knowledge sharing
• Champion innovation by introducing new technologies and methodologies

Customer & Business Partnership:

• Be a trusted technical advisor for important customer accounts
• Lead customer presentations product showcases and technical discussions
• Build relationships that support long-term business growth and customer satisfaction
• Provide technical solutions that balance creativity feasibility and commercial success

Product Development & Food Innovation

• Lead product development from concept through industrialization
• Create exciting food and beverage solutions aligned with market trends and consumer expectations
• Ensure formulations meet regulatory quality and cost requirements
• Translate sensory insights and customer feedback into unique product experiences

Your professional profile includes:

• Bachelors/ Masters in Food Science Chemistry OR a related discipline
• At least 7 plus years of relevant experience in a similar role in the food/ flavour industry
• Experience within food applications flavour development production or related technical environments
• 5 plus years of experience in a leadership role
• Business fluent in English; as an advantage business fluency in German
• Passionate about innovation genuine curiosity and commitment to developing people and creating meaningful change
• Experience in project management and stakeholder engagement
• Expert in communicating and presenting in front of multiple stakeholders on different levels
