PESCM located in San Rafael is the only 24/7 veterinary hospital in Marin County offering a wide range of specialty and emergency services including Internal Medicine Oncology Ophthalmology Surgery Neurology Cardiology Urgent Care Emergency Radiology and Critical Care. Our mission is to serve pets and people by continually striving to improve our medicine our service our communication and ourselves.

The Kennel Attendant plays a vital role in maintaining a clean safe and comfortable environment for our hospitalized and boarding patients. This position is ideal for someone who loves animals is dependable and thrives in a fastpaced veterinary hospital setting.
- Clean and sanitize kennels cages treatment areas and common spaces
- Feed water and walk dogs according to established protocols
- Monitor patients for signs of illness stress or discomfort and report concerns to medical staff
- Assist with patient handling and basic restraint as needed
- Launder bedding towels and clinic materials
- Maintain cleanliness of laundry waste and kennel areas
- Provide basic comfort and enrichment for hospitalized and boarding patients
- Support technicians and veterinarians as directed
- Ability to safely handle dogs and cats of various sizes and temperaments
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail
- Basic understanding of common medical conditions seen in a veterinary hospital setting
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively within a team
- Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand or walk for extended periods
- Prior animal care experience preferred but not required
- Schedules
- Looking for two scheduled specific days are flexible
- 7:00am - 3:30pm
- 2:00pm - 10:30pm
- Pay:
- $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
- Highly competitive compensation based on experience
