PESCM located in San Rafael is the only 24/7 veterinary hospital in Marin County offering a wide range of specialty and emergency services including Internal Medicine Oncology Ophthalmology Surgery Neurology Cardiology Urgent Care Emergency Radiology and Critical Care. Position Summary

The Kennel Attendant plays a vital role in maintaining a clean safe and comfortable environment for our hospitalized and boarding patients. This position is ideal for someone who loves animals is dependable and thrives in a fastpaced veterinary hospital setting.

Responsibilities
  • Clean and sanitize kennels cages treatment areas and common spaces
  • Feed water and walk dogs according to established protocols
  • Monitor patients for signs of illness stress or discomfort and report concerns to medical staff
  • Assist with patient handling and basic restraint as needed
  • Launder bedding towels and clinic materials
  • Maintain cleanliness of laundry waste and kennel areas
  • Provide basic comfort and enrichment for hospitalized and boarding patients
  • Support technicians and veterinarians as directed
Qualifications
  • Ability to safely handle dogs and cats of various sizes and temperaments
  • Strong work ethic and attention to detail
  • Basic understanding of common medical conditions seen in a veterinary hospital setting
  • Ability to follow instructions and work effectively within a team
  • Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand or walk for extended periods
  • Prior animal care experience preferred but not required
Schedule & Compensation
  • Schedules
    • Looking for two scheduled specific days are flexible
    • 7:00am - 3:30pm
    • 2:00pm - 10:30pm
  • Pay:
    • $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
