The Merchant III will handle a supplier base and fulfill transactions delivering commodities that meet production requirements and specifications in terms of timing volume quantity and this role you will mainly sell commodities from and to country elevators producers feed mills and processors.
- Collaborate with transportation and logistics quality assurance and customer managers to ensure efficient execution. Work with controllership area in managing credit lines for assigned customer.
- Originate procure and sell commodities and livestock to regional customers to reach target volumes and gain revenue.
- Generate market position and profit and loss reports based on data and specialty reports gathered by junior team members.
- Research and analyze various freight opportunities in the marketplace to maximize margin.
- Support S&D reports
- Work directly with customers suppliers and business counterparts to develop business solutions to meet their needs.
- Develop Marketing Plans and Account Management Plans.
- Manage customers claims
- Able to manage a specific project: investigation / implementation
- Independently handle complex issues with minimal supervision while escalating only the most complex issues to appropriate staff.
- Other duties as assigned
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelors degree in a related field or equivalent experience
- Minimum of four years of related work experience
- Other minimum qualifications may apply
- Ideally experience in rail flows and logistic
