Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced IBM PD Tools Migration Specialist to supportproduct-developmentand problem-determination tool migrations inIBM mainframeenvironments. This role requiresexpertisein IBM toolsz/OSsystems and the competitive / ISV tools being replaced.
Key Responsibilities
- Install and deployIBM PD toolsfollowing best practices and customer requirements.
- Support migration activities involving conversion and integration of IBM and ISV problem-determination tools.
- Provide training sessions workshops and technical presentations for customers and internal teams.
- Perform problem determination and resolution for IBM products in customer environments.
- Work acrossDB2CICS andIMSenvironments as part of installation deployment and migration support.
Mandatory Skills and Experience
- Strongz/OSknowledge and detailed familiarity withIBM PD toolsand associated components.
- Hands-on experience with Non-IBM / ISV tools being migrated or replaced includingBMCFileAidCA Broadcom File Master/CA File Master PlusCA Broadcom PDSMAN andMacro4InSync.
- Understanding ofmigration and conversion activities to IBM PD tooling such asIBM File ManagerandIBM Hourglass.
- StrongISPFandIDzskills.
- Programming skills inCOBOLPL/IAssembler andC/C.
- Experience withCICSDB2 andIMSapplication programming and administration.
- Ability to develop ormodifyREXXscripts to support migration and automation requirements
