Electrical Services Specialist
Job Summary
The Electrical Specialist for Operation and Maintenance must possess the necessary knowledge to work on the various electrical equipment of a thermal power plant. Power generation and support equipment includes gas turbines steam turbines diesel engines generators air compressors and motors.
Execute Electrical related maintenance activities according to the workplan provided by the CMMS
Responsible to assist in reducing maintenance cost by efficient use of consumables parts and tools and preventing their loss or damage
Diagnose the cause of electrical failures or malfunctions in operating equipment such as motors and variable frequency drives. Must be able to communicate findings to all stakeholders.
Diagnose test repair or replace defective electrical components.
Test defective equipment and apply knowledge of the operation of electrical units and systems to diagnose the cause of the failure.
Calibrate and adjust equipment according to specifications.
Maintain records of repairs calibrations and tests performed.
Record maintenance actions on work orders.
Identify the necessary spare parts for the various plant systems.
Submit purchase requisitions in the MAXIMO system.
Read and understand the systems technical manuals and piping and instrumentation diagrams.
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance according to the procedures in the technical manual.
Prepare legible and understandable work orders for required preventive and corrective maintenance.
Read understand and comply with all plant safety procedures and regulations.
Collaborate with external contractors on various investment projects. Communicate effectively with employees at all levels of the organization.
