Role Overview

Warner Bros. Discovery is seeking a Production Counsel based in Argentina to provide comprehensive legal support to the Production team across scripted and unscripted content. This role will work closely with internal stakeholders and external partners to support all legal aspects of content production ensuring compliance with local laws company policies and industry standards.

The Counsel will report directly to the Legal Director Production and will act as a trusted legal partner for the Production business supporting projects from development through post-production.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day legal support to the Production team for local and regional productions in Argentina.

• Draft review and negotiate a wide range of production-related agreements including but not limited to:

  • Talent agreements (on-screen and off-screen)

  • Director producer writer and crew agreements

  • Location agreements

  • Production services agreements

  • Music licenses and releases

• Advise on legal issues related to production including labor law unions guilds intellectual property rights clearances and regulatory compliance.

• Support the business throughout the full production lifecycle: development pre-production production and post-production.

• Coordinate with internal stakeholders including Production Finance HR and Business Affairs teams.

• Manage and liaise with external counsel production partners and vendors as needed.

• Ensure compliance with Warner Bros. Discovery legal standards risk management practices and internal policies.

• Identify legal risks and propose practical business-oriented solutions to support creative and operational objectives.

• Stay up to date on relevant changes in Argentine legal and regulatory frameworks impacting audiovisual production.

• Law degree from an accredited university in Argentina.

• Licensed to practice law in Argentina.

• 3 years of relevant legal experience preferably with a strong focus on media entertainment or audiovisual production.

• Experience working in-house or with law firms advising production companies studios or broadcasters is highly valued.

• Solid knowledge of Argentine labor law intellectual property law and production-related legal frameworks.

• Strong contract negotiation and drafting skills.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced deadline-driven creative environment.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

• Fluent in English and Spanish (both written and spoken) is required.

• Strong business and production acumen.

• Pragmatic solution-oriented legal approach.

• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

• Strong attention to detail with the ability to assess and prioritize risks.

• Collaborative mindset and comfort working cross-functionally.

• High ethical standards and sound judgment.
