- About the Position
- Child Support Services is seeking a skilled proficient and self-motivated individual to fill the position of Accounting Technician.Under direction incumbents in this position independently perform complex and responsible paraprofessional accounting work. They are assigned the overall technical responsibility for the financial operation of a major accounting system or entity; and perform other related work as required.
What Youll Do
- Manage complex accounting records journals and ledgers.
- Manage accounts receivable including tenant and concession billing payment processing account reconciliation and follow-up on outstanding balances.
- Prepare financial statements reports and budget analyses.
- Review expenditures for compliance with County policies and applicable laws.
- Create purchase requisitions and ensure compliance with County Purchasing Policies.
- Research financial questions and provide clear practical solutions.

The ideal candidate will have related previous work experience and strong MS Office Excel skills. A certification or Associates degree in Accounting or a related field is desired but not required. We are seeking a self-motivated individual that possesses a strong work ethic and is detail oriented and thorough in their work. Additionally well-honed communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to handle confidential information with discretion is a must. A flexible team-oriented individual that is adaptable to competing demands and demonstrates quality customer service and response will be most successful in this role. The ideal candidate will be proficient in Microsoft Office Excel.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:- Education and Experience
A combination of education training and experience resulting in the required knowledge skills and abilities. An example of qualifying education and experience includes:
Either A:Four years of experience as an Account Clerk or equivalent position.
Or B:Two years of experience as a Senior Account Clerk or an equivalent position.
Or C:An A.S. degree from an accredited college which includes 6 semester units of Accounting.
