Key Responsibilities:
Prepare cost estimates for engineering and construction projects.
Review drawings specifications BOQ and tender documents.
Calculate material manpower equipment and subcontracting costs.
Coordinate with vendors and suppliers for quotations.
Prepare technical and commercial estimation reports.
Support tender submissions and project costing activities.
Maintain estimation records and cost comparison sheets.
Required Skills:
Estimation: Ability to prepare accurate project cost estimates.
BOQ: Experience in quantity takeoff and bill preparation.
Tendering: Knowledge of tender documentation and submission.
Cost Analysis: Ability to compare vendor rates and project costs.
Technical Drawings: Ability to read engineering drawings and specifications.
Preferred Skills:
Experience in Gulf / Qatar projects.
Knowledge of estimation software.
Vendor negotiation exposure.
Work Experience Requirements:
Typical: 37 years of relevant experience in estimation costing BOQ preparation or tendering for engineering/construction projects.
Education:
Minimum: Typical Diploma / B.E / in Civil Mechanical Electrical or relevant Engineering field
Preferred: Certification in Estimation / Quantity Surveying
Additional: AutoCAD / MS Excel / estimation software knowledge preferred
