Assistant Buyer
Role Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Assistant Buyer Mom & Baby to manage product sourcing inventory vendor coordination and product launches for the category. This role requires strong analytical Excel and English skills with the ability to execute efficiently in a fast-paced retail and e-commerce environment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Category & Product Management
- Identify onboard and manage new brands and products (diapers feeding supplies strollers car seats).
- Analyze market trends competitor activity and consumer demand to optimize product assortment.
- Manage full product lifecycle from launch to discontinuation ensuring performance targets are met.
2. Inventory & Order Management
- Monitor sales and inventory to maintain optimal stock levels.
- Prepare and manage accurate purchase orders (POs) daily.
- Develop strategies for slow-moving or aged stock to maximize turnover and reduce losses.
3. Vendor & Supplier Relations
- Build and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors ensuring on-time delivery and product quality.
- Negotiate contracts pricing and terms to achieve cost efficiency.
- Act as the point of contact for product issues returns or vendor disputes.
4. Launch & Marketing Coordination
- Collaborate with marketing to execute product launches on schedule.
- Ensure all product information images and assets are complete and accurate for campaigns.
- Maintain trackers for launches POs and stock replenishment.
Requirements / Must-Haves:
- Bachelors degree in Business Supply Chain or related field.
- 13 years of buying merchandising or procurement experience (retail/e-commerce preferred).
- Advanced MS Excel skills (pivot tables VLOOKUP basic reporting).
- Strong command of English (mandatory).
- Nationality: Indian

- Strong analytical organizational and communication skills.
