Role Overview
We are looking for a Backend Developer to join our Amman team. You will build and maintain backend services that power our production and supply-chain platforms. You should be strong in Python (FastAPI) or Go and comfortable working in an agile product-focused environment.
Tasks
- Design develop and maintain backend services and APIs for our web and mobile applications
- Implement clean testable and well-documented code using Python (FastAPI) or Go
- Work closely with frontend / mobile developers product managers and the German team to deliver new features
- Integrate with internal and external systems (databases IoT devices third-party APIs)
- Optimize performance reliability and scalability of backend systems
- Write and maintain unit/integration tests and support CI/CD pipelines
- Participate in code reviews architecture discussions and sprint ceremonies
- Help improve our architecture and technical standards as we scale the platform
Requirements
- 2 years of experience as a backend developer
- Strong experience with either: Python and FastAPI (or similar frameworks like Django / Flask) or Go (Golang) building backend APIs and services
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Software Engineering or equivalent experience
- Good understanding of RESTful APIs and microservice concepts
- Solid experience with relational databases (e.g. PostgreSQL MySQL)
- Experience with Git and modern development workflows
- Basic knowledge of Docker and containerized environments
- Comfortable working in an agile/scrum setup
- Good communication skills in English
Nice to Have
- Experience with message queues (e.g. RabbitMQ Kafka)
- Experience with cloud platforms (Azure AWS or GCP)
- Experience in manufacturing logistics or industrial software
- Experience with authentication/authorization (JWT OAuth2 etc.)
- Experience working with IoT devices or edge systems is a plus
