Responsibilities of a Year 2 teacher:

• As a Year 2 teacher you will be responsible for the pastoral care of children taking their first steps in Key Stage 1 promoting teamwork and cultivating a conducive learning environment.

• Teaching the Key Stage 1 curriculum to groups of children while also focusing on each individual childs learning targets encouraging their strengths and improving their weaknesses

• Further developing maths ability and introducing fractions statistics and geometry

• Help children develop their writing ability by creating plots characters and settings for stories.

• Keeping track of childrens progress and occasionally reporting back to parents

• Create a positive learning environment that is both safe and conducive for learning

• Collaborate with school management teaching staff and parents to provide quality academic support for Year 2 students.

Year 2 Teacher requirements:

• Bachelors degree or above in Education or related field.
• Teaching qualification and QTS.
• At least 2 years of experience in teaching Year 2 students.
• Strong communication interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Passion for working with children and a commitment to providing highquality education.
• Ability to create and present engaging and interactive lesson plans.
• Ability to work collaboratively with other teachers and school staff.
