Tool Design Engineer

The Tool Designer will be responsible for the design development and documentation of manufacturing tooling for our product line. You will work closely with product designers engineers and manufacturing personnel to ensure that our products are manufactured efficiently and to the highest quality standards.

Responsibilities:

Analyze product designs and specifications to determine appropriate tooling requirements.

• Design and develop Jigs Fixtures & Inspection gages for various processes like QC QA Production and assembly.
  
• Utilize CAD software (e.g. SolidWorks AutoCAD) to create detailed 2D and 3D models of tooling components.
  
• Perform calculations to determine appropriate tolerances clearances and materials for tooling.
  
• Prepare and maintain all necessary documentation including drawings bills of materials and assembly instructions.
  
• Collaborate with manufacturing engineers and shop floor personnel to ensure smooth production processes.
  
• Identify opportunities for tooling improvement and cost reduction.
  

Requirements

• Post Diploma in Tool Design from CITD NTTF or GTTC. Or B Tech in Mechanical Engineering
  
• Minimum of 35 years of experience as a Tool Designer or similar role.
  
• Proven experience in designing and developing tooling for various manufacturing processes.
  
• Expertise in using CAD software for 2D and 3D modelling.
  
• Strong understanding of geometric dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
  
• Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills.
  
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  
• Attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
