Test Engineer 3 (LOCATION Longmont CO)

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

Performs client and enterprise system buildouts at scale identifying opportunities for efficiency gain and/or process improvement while documenting completed work with detailed performance logs and build procedures. Is capable of managing inventory at scale of 2000 components that contribute to lab systems. Executes daily/weekly test cases using internal automation or vendor software. Assesses the health of equipment being build and test runs being executes proactively calling out any perceived issues while offering creative solutions to solve the teams biggest problems in this regard.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

Experience and passion for client or enterprise PC components and systems test process scientific method minimizing variables in retest to isolate specific fail modes. Prior storage experience preferred but will assess the right candidate based on overall aptitude.

Experienced python development or equivalent interpreted language NVMe storage protocol comfort in a linux operating environment technical writing high attention to detail customerfirst mentality.

Description: Supports engineering activities such as design, test, check-out, modification, fabrication, and assembly of prototype electro-mechanical systems, experimental design circuitry, or specialized test equipment. Applications may include analog, digital and/or video circuits and logic systems. Works from schematics, diagrams, written, and verbal descriptions, layouts or defined plans to perform testing, checkout, and trouble-shooting functions. Performs operational test and fault isolation on systems and equipment. Assists in determining methods or actions to remedy malfunctions. Assists in the design, construction, test, and check-out of test equipment. Uses manufacturing, test, development, or diagnostic equipment, including, but not limited to, test programs oscilloscopes, signal generators, and specialized test apparatus. Must be proficient navigating in various operating systems such as Linux, Unix, CentOS, Windows10 or later, Windows Sever. Must be proficient in using MS products such as Office365, SharePoint, Teams etc. This person will work individually as well as part of a team and will need to work well with others.
