Technical Author

We are looking for Technical Author with 3-4 Years of Experience for our esteemed client for Bangalore Location.

Key Skills: Ultra Author, Adobe FrameMaker+SGML, Ultra XML & Adobe Frame Maker, Arbortext Epic Editor, Teamcenter and Enovia, ATA iSpec 2200 and Technical English

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Creation/Revision of Component Maintenance Manuals, Aircraft Maintenance Manuals, Aircraft Illustrated Parts Catalogue (AIPC), Wiring Diagram Manual.
  
• Organize material and complete writing assignment according to set standards regarding order, clarity, conciseness, style and/or terminology.
  
• Assists with creation/revisions for internally authored and externally authored manuals.
  
• Plan, develop, organize, write and edit operational procedures and manuals
  
• Research, develop and document technical design specifications and test scripts
  
• Produce electronic documentation in addition to hard copy manuals.
  
• Maintain a comprehensive library of technical terminology and documentation.
  
• Analyze documents to maintain continuity of style of content.
  
• Manage updates and revisions to technical literature.
  

Requirements

Required Skills, Qualifications (Technical Competency):

• Conversant with ATA iSpec 2200, S1000D, STE standards.
  
• Excellent knowledge on ATA iSpec 2200 and Simplified Technical English.
  
• Authoring Tools: Adobe Framemaker+SGML, Arbortext Epic Editor, Ultra Author, Ultra XML.
  
• Familiar with XML, SGML, and resolving the XML parsing errors
  
• Good oral and writing skills, ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
  
• Must be able to communicate effectively with internal and external customers.
  
• Working knowledge on PLM tools like Teamcenter and Enovia.
  
• Experience of working on creation of various aircraft manuals is mandatory.
  

Desired Skills:

• Creation/Revision of CMM, AMM, AIPC, WDM
  
• Conversant with ATA iSpec 2200, S1000D standards.
  
• Familiar with SGML/XML based Authoring & data management in CSDB
