Superintendent Foreman

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Directly supervises crews on a construction site. Performs supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the company policies procedures and applicable federal and state laws. Responsibilities include interviewing hiring training; planning assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Field experience should include a minimum of 5 years experience as a superintendent role as Carpenter Pile Driver or Operator. Must have hands on field experience as well as supervisory experience in a specific construction discipline (Marine construction structures heavy lifts or concrete experience preferred).

CERTIFICATES LICENSES REGISTRATIONS

Must have a valid Drivers License and acceptable driving record.

First Aid/CPR Certification preferred

OSHA Certification preferred

Fall Protection Competent Person preferred

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Over 85% of the time will require working outside on the job site and equipment. Less than 15% of the time will require working at a desk.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Employees must be able to wear the personal protective equipment (PPE) required of various construction work environments (hard hats personal floatation devices safety glasses gloves safetytoed shoes respirators etc). The employee is required to stand walk use stairs ladders and step stools and reach with hands and arms. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and may occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Must be able to navigate stairs ladders and gangways board work on and disembark floating vessels and structures. The noise level in the work environment is moderate to loud. The employee may be required to sit for extended periods of time.
