Strategy Associate

• Lead independent workstreams in the context of a portfolio of partnerships and pilot projects through daytoday project management creation of supporting materials stakeholder engagement and evaluation of successes and challenges
  
• Support special projects on highpriority flooding topics by conducting strategic research synthesizing results and packaging the findings into compelling messages
  
• Collaborate on crossteam efforts to respond to emergent opportunities taking a consultative approach which leverages research and partnerships
  
• Craft compelling strategic messages and materials for a wide array of audiences including senior stakeholders and external partners
  
• Apply a strategic mindset to evaluate past approaches and future opportunities
  

Requirements

• 3 years of work experience minimum 1 year of relevant professional experience in an organizational strategy or analytical role (e.g. management consulting internal consulting or strategy strategic function in a startup or equivalent)
  
• Demonstrated expertise researching and synthesizing complex information is required
  
• Experience communicating persuasive narratives that are tailored to specific audiences required; experience with slide making in PowerPoint or Google Slides is preferred
  
• Strong strategic and analytical thinking skill in knowing the right questions to ask to identify a problem even if the solution is not immediately visible
  
• Ability to prioritize tasks develop project plans and maintain momentum across workstreams required
  
• Comfortable with analytical tools (e.g. Excel Tableau) and an interest to further develop this skillset
  
• Experience in an externallyfacing role preferred but not required
  
• Bachelors degree required
  
• Experience in flooding or resilience is not required
