Total Portfolio View (TPV) is a new strategic business for client, which provides a holistic digital + service offering for some of the most sophisticated institutional investors across the globe, including foundations, endowments, pension funds, corporations, insurance companies, central banks, and sovereign wealth funds. As asset owners engage in more complex, data-driven investment approaches to asset allocation, their demand for high quality data has skyrocketed.

Required Skills:

Our software efficiently evaluates portfolios, offers deep insights and helps mitigate operational risk to power investment decisions running on the JVM and deployed into and AWS-managed Kubernetes cluster (EKS) accessing multiple datastores provisioned inside and outside of our won AWS accounts.

This position is working on a team to build out our portfolio performance infrastructure and as a result, these are the kinds of activities you will likely work on in the foreseeable future:

• Configure and managing infrastructure with code driven through a delivery pipeline
• Tune and update the CI/CD pipeline in Gitlab after discussion with development team
• Build a ChatOps bot to help all engineers optimize their workflow
• Configure and tune JVM options for Scala services running in containers in EKS
• Configure k8s resources such as virtualservices, pods, etc using a configuration management tool (e.g. dhall-kubernetes, helm, helmfile)
• Ensure Nix developer environment has all relevant infrastructure tooling developers require
• Setup and maintain cluster infrastructure for collecting instrumentation and logs to relay to the appropriate destinations (e.g. Honeycomb, CloudWatch Logs, etc.)
• Help developers troubleshoot issues after service deployments
• Provide ways to improve observability of the services and EKS cluster
